A courageous individual at 2chan’s mokeura board went ahead and did what was inevitable given the inviting seams around Clalaclan’s chest region, forcibly separating the front of her dress from what lies beneath. As expected it is a process that results in some damage to the kit, and does not yield a finished product; thus it is an operation only recommended for those willing to void the warranty and do some experimental reconstructive surgery (or be left with a pair of vaguely defined and vaguely unsatisfying bosoms staring you in the face). Regardless of the lack of post-op articulation this is an amazing kit that I’d recommend to anyone who can still find her available – a rare home run from Kotobukiya that is rapidly becoming rarer. I wish they made them all like this… castoff pictures below:

Oh, that’s just too painful to see the figurine spoil for the heck of the castoffs. I rather get a “default” castoff-ables.
LOL wut, Clalaclan sold out again on PA?
Thants because I grabbed her LuLz :p
*she was restocked for like..the 2nd time already
oh well, Im fine with non-cast-off version. Its her nice stare thats matter
**but some tits would be better LuLz
Looking forward to Zecty and Seena :D
Okay- why have that underneath then? Was she once planned on being castoffable but they changed their minds? Too bad.
It’s not unheard of for most figure companies to make the whole bare body the pale cream colour they make for skin, you know. Looking at Clalaclan this way only makes me realise that Kotobukiya would have it this way so that she looks much more real than having no skin colour underneath. If they didn’t, then she’d look a bit weird, right? ^^
And I’m sure it’s cheaper to make the whole body this way and then add the clothes to it….right? ^_~
Speaking from experience, it’s definitely easier to make the whole body as 1 piece and then add clothes pieces to it, rather than sculpt clothes onto the same body piece.
It’s also easier to mass produce and colouring is so much simpler. (Easier to spray paint 1 colour quickly over the entire piece, rather than mask parts of it.) :)
Ahhhhh- thank you both for the information. I wouldn’t have thought that it would have been cheaper to make the whole body vs. making it in parts.
