Word in from Griffon last night that they’re producing a Harada Takehito designed Plenair-san (shark toting ver.) PVC figure. She clocks in at 17 cm tall (non- scale) with a sculpt from Katou Taichi, and is set for release in December at 5,040 yen, with preorders open on now on the official site and elsewhere soon. In other Griffon news, the brand has spun off its more risque figures onto a separate [ERO] R-Line site. Same company, new distinct brand identity; here’s hoping this means more ero-ero PVCs from them in the future. (no more)
Why is she smiling? This is sacrilege I tell you.
I agree with heiro_yo, but at the same time her smile is quite nice. Maybe it’s once in a lifetime smile. =p
So, how’s Griffon’s rep when it comes to PVC figures? I’d love to buy that Plenair but wouldn’t be very pleased if the finished product’s quality was down the drain.
Griffon is a newcomer to PVC manufacture. I liked their Hakufu well enough, but I don’t think they’ve put out enough to be able to accurately rate their overall quality yet. Lacking evidence to the contrary I think this Plenair would be a relatively safe purchase, but it is a bit of a risk.
I like the Plenair…..
I like the Plenair, but the eys don’t strike me at all like a Harada Takehito design. I have a few of his drawings of her, and her eyes aren’t so cartoony as these ones seem to be… Why not add some lashes to the lids? *shrug*
Guess I’ll wait for some reviews before ordering this, then.
