Akiba Hobby and Dengeki Online are the first to report in on the figure action at yesterday’s Dream Party Tokyo 2007 Fall, the former bringing detailed looks at Goodsmile’s maid version Rider PVC from Fate / hollow ataraxia (first scooped here), due out in March of ’08 at 1/8 scale and 4,800 yen retail, and Max Factory’s Fiina (swimsuit ver.) PVC from Yoake, due out in February at 1/8 scale at an undetermined price. For its part Dengeki brings a general survey of the whole event, with shots at the very bottom of the upcoming Resinya Toradora! line. In other news, a bit from the Plamo / Radicon Show that we missed: Kotobukiya has a maid version Tamaki PVC from To Heart 2 coming out in February at an undetermined price. We’ll keep an eye out for further Dream Party news as it emerges throughout the day today. (no more)
oo, that rider is borderline for me. huge fan of rider, but i think the rider nendoroid coming out will pretty much do it for me :p
Probably not going for Rider unless castoffable. Fiina is looking pretty good, pending announcement of price.
Rider is a must, especially if NOT castoffable! :P I really love the look of it! ^_^ Fiina is looking great, and will be a must-buy too. The Tamaki is not bad, though sitting down is a minus for me (too many Tamaki’s are sitting don). I may change my mind later, when more info comes out on her…
Hmm, this will be a good purchase only if it is paired with meido Saber and meido Rin…And since, I won’t be getting either Rin or Saber (as much as I’d like to), I’ll probably pass on meido Rider…
Heres hoping Rider will be castoffable… with battle costume underneath! (I mean she has the boots…)
Considering the price, I pretty much doubt that Rider is castoffable. If she is, then she’s an instant pre-order. Otherwise, one might as well wait a few months and await discounts on what appears to be a non-epic figure.
Yeah, I guess it wouldn’t make sense if both Rin and Saber aren’t castoffables and suddenly Rider is…
I don’t believe a chest castoffable PVC based on the Fate franchise has ever been produced, and Goodsmile would probably not be one to start the trend; the skirt of Rider’s dress may come off, but that’s probably the extent of it.
Note that Art Road has produced finished castoffable kits based on Fate characters, but they’re not PVC.
Love the pose of this rider maid. I will probably get it, even if it’s not castoffable. :) Love that pose, especially the hand touching the glasses. Will go well with my other maid figures. I do wish the hair colour is more accurate though. :)
Top quality finish re: Rider, but since I don’t have the maid versions of Saber and Rin (I have to admit I was severely tempted) I won’t be getting this, the boring pose doesn’t help. I do wish there were more dynamic-looking Rider PVCs out, a version of the Cerberus Project one would be great.
