Figure maker CM’s today put a page up on their official site detailing the production of a near 1/1 scale Kokonoe Rin soft vinyl figure, pictured here in the company of Rin’s anime voice actress, Kitamura Eri. While no details regarding the price or release date are yet forthcoming, this item is sure to be another gaudy piece of evidence to bandy around in the controversy surrounding the property both in Japan and abroad. We’ll be keeping tabs on this as further information regarding the figure is brought to light. (no more)
Screw the 1/1, Just give miss Kitamura :D
oops forgot the “me”
I bet the first question everyone thinks is, `Is it castoffable?’.
That’s just scary . . . .
The only thing keeping me from buying this is the ocean between the US and Japan. I don’t wanna have to pay for that shipping, provided someone could even ship that to the US.

Not for sale.
I’d say a price on the magnitude of hundreds of thousands to a million yen would be the price if this were for regular sale. I saw 1/1 Aa! Megami-sama figures for 999999 yen about a year and a half ago, so they should be roughly similar.

Yea that is defiantly going to fall into the category of Not Cheap.

Not for regular sale. I did note the “ippan” there when I made the post. I’m sure they wouldn’t have put prototype information (and empty price and release date fields) on the site if they weren’t planning to put it up for sale in some format (albeit irregular); maybe they’ll auction it off, who knows.
Agreed that however it’s sold the price will no doubt be obscene.
i would love a 1/1 scale figure, not of that though. still cool though
This is really nice, but the 1:1 Saber by Papermoon – now don’t get me started! :P
That’s definitely one item that could reach the 5 million yen mark on eBay if they choose to sell it that way (as opposed to that other 1/1 figure of a character named Rin). Need a more detailed shot of what’s behind her hands…
On a more serious note, though, the production blog of the anime adaptation has a post up about the nice-boating concerns, and although they try to remain cool about it, they make it sound as if it’s more than just the TV-tama run that’s at stake. “More info on Tuesday.”
It looks great, and if I ever won a large amount of money through gambling I’d definately start my own perverted sculpture garden.
Not to be picky, but her arms look incredibly flimsy. Who knows, maybe I’ve seen too many awesome lifesize sculptures of lolis from antiquity. That, and she suffers from the same problem that all the busts of Romans suffer – she has cold hollow eyes ;_;.
Is there even a market for this kind of stuff? What lolicon has room for this in his box-sized Japanese apartment?
