The Daiki Kougyou-produced PVC version of Vispo‘s Sanae garage kit (based on an illustration from Kotoyoshi Yumisuke‘s Shokunyuu 2) was showered with love from the Japanese figure blogs today, as Toranoana‘s in-store display of a prototype revealed that her lower half is castoffable. Other than Ascii‘s coverage we have representation today from Akiba Hobby, Akibajin, and Akiba Blog. Earlier reports documented the malleable bosoms expected to come as an exchangeable part with the kit, and Ascii’s coverage shows us just how far they’ll go…. Preorders for the October-release kit have closed at most Japanese stores, but as of posting HLJ and YesAsia both still have their listings open. Truly an epic figure release in the making… (no more)
Although castoffable, i do not like the holes, i hope they do something about that … :S
I’m guessing the holes are a necessary evil, but they’ll be far easier to fill in and mask than the stupid nubs on Daiki’s Koyori. =_=;;
Well i am still hoping they can do it better because its kinda pointless to pay for a such a high sum of money to have 2 socket holes spoil it in the end.

That’s Daiki quality for you… I have a love/hate relationship with them. On the one hand they’re willing to produce legitimate pre-painted versions of kits otherwise only available as highly limited edition resins, on the other hand their quality does leave something to be desired. When it comes to price I think it helps to remember that buying and painting the original resin kit would be at least as expensive (if not moreso) and take a pretty significant time expenditure as well. To me it’s worth it, from that perspective.
So we can expect plushy red boobs with the kit? Unless the red is just a placeholder?
According to this post they’ll be painted to a normal skin tone for the final release version. I certainly hope that’s the case, despite how fetching the red version is.
Yeah, i agree with you, the tamaki was kick ass… but upon should have added the peach part…. sighs.. and that bra removal thing.. wt heck they were thinking.
