First a fishing simulation, and now SimCity? An official site opened yesterday for Batsu Batsu na Kanojo no Tsukurikata (××ãªå½¼å¥³ã®ã¤ãりã‹ãŸ), the newest title from eroge maker Kiss. Announced originally in the October ’07 issue of Tech Gian (released August 21st), in addition to traditional dating sim elements the game features a “city development system” superficially quite similar to that of the SimCity series of games; however instead of maximizing the happiness of your citizens or creating a bustling economy the goal here seems to be to socially engineer prime dating spots where you’re then able to court the game’s heroines – amusement parks, restaurants, and “adult goods” shops take precedence over factories and business sectors. The extent to which city development extends beyond a mere gimmick into actual strategic play is unknown, but we’ll be keeping an eye on this as further information comes along. Speaking of that fishing sim, I wonder what other genres eroge is gonna dive into next? I mean, we’ve had eroge RPGs and fighting games for years. What’s next? FPS? Oh wait…Gun Katana…
All of a sudden a career in local/state government feels much more appealing.
Friggin’ cool! Hmm, how about an eroge PC game based on “Civilization”? Now that would be “historic”! Hehehe!
Actually almost every genre has been featured by the bishoujo industry. Sometimes, like with PC CARD games, the bishoujo industry has been faster than the US PC game industry… and if you think about it games like Phoenix Wright are based on SDV mechanics… I feel bishoujo games are way more relevant in the videogame history that we usually think in Europe or USA (ex take a look to Enix history)…
Is it weird that I like the screenshots and the prospect of being able to build shopping arcades more than the eroge part. I also loved the fact that “adult goods” areas take more precendence than business or industry. Can you build porno factories and design public school unifroms?
