Konami updated their Beatmania IIDX figure page today with news that Iroha Umegiri, the first in their planned Bemani character figure series, has been given the green light for production. They set the bar at 2,500 preorders by June 17th to launch the project and as of today they’ve met the quota, proving to naysayers (such as myself) that even mutant hands will sell if they’re spun by a bemani disc jockey just right. Those willing to overlook her deformed appendage and other design flaws can look forward to her release on October 26th at 4,935 yen (tax included). (no more)

Design flaws? Like what? Looks okay, though the hands and arms look a little skinny to me…
so this is it, the prototype was the real thing after all, well I don’t think this one will hit the charts :D
Hopefully for my bank account, they aren’t all fantastic.

In earlier discussion on the figure people (Angelo and Venio) were commenting both on the unfortunate sculpt of her hand as well as the awkward render of the candy in her mouth and her “Gundam feet” (though I don’t think the feet are all that bad)… compared to the original illustration I don’t find it to be a very impressive sculpt, regardless. :(

I don’t think we have 100% confirmation on that, but seeing as they haven’t changed the photo I think we can assume that’s close to what it will look like in final production. :/
Looks alright to me
