Daiki Kougyou has a page up today detailing their release plans for a PVC version Cobra-Kai‘s 1/4 scale Samurai Spirits Mina at the end of July. The version of the kit pictured on Daiki’s page is still the original resin, so we can expect some alteration in its final PVC cast; regardless, when equipped with her bow she apparently tops 50 centimeters in height. An impressive item indeed, even if the paint job on her face is somewhat ganguro… at 23,100 yen retail she won’t come cheap, but given Daiki’s incremental quality improvement over the past year and the kit’s eminent castoffability this might be worth the investment to some. Banzai for Daiki Kougyou releases! I agree that Daiki’s quality has been better with each release. There are a few other Cobra-Kai resin kits that I wish would be PVCed too. =P
Agreed! Personally I’m looking forward to Yamato’s Cobra-Kai Kanu Unchou PVC that they unveiled in color at WHF… I hope they have a release date for her soon.
With their release of Koyori, Daiki Kougyo has somewhat made a name for itself for making good 1/4th and 1/5th scale PVC statues…I am definitely looking forward to the finished PVC version of Mina…
As for Cobra-Kai’s Kanu Unchou, one cannot miss that statue, I’m also looking forward to an official release! ^_^
wow, expensive. i got the recast prepainted kit and it’s gorgeous. i’m curious what alterations will be done for the final PVC version
