Shipon represents this evening with a wonderfully produced short detailing the multimedia experience that is the new Japanese arcade card battle game Aquarian Age Alternative. Check below for the first documentary mini feature in what from this day forth shall be known as the true meaning of HDTV (said with only a slight dash of hyperbole…).
Shipon has a kickass Australian accent that no one else on the HD staff could possibly touch. He would like to hear your comments on this piece, especially if you are a cute 18-year-old Japanese girl living in Sendai who still has her high school uniform.

Truly high quality stuff. Perhaps we’ll something along the lines of interviews in the future? :3

Awesome. Too bad arcades here don’t even have stuff like Beatmania (save for at least one).
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. It is unfortunate that something like this could never get a base in the USA.
[...] The Aquarian Age cards may also seem familiar, being based on the traditional tabletop card game of the same name, however Alternative is an arcade game, more info on it is explained at Heisei Democracy. [...]
Just got back from a trip to Tokyo, blew so much money on this game…so addicting! Cant believe how fast 300yen -> 200 -> 100 adds up to, and i dont always hit the 100 yen price either…anyone interested in trading? i have many extras and would like to trade for the ones that i dont have!
