Game news site eg scoops and Goodsmile’s official site confirms the news today that a 2000-unit limited edition PVC run of a kit based on the Dark Elf female character from Lineage II will be available for preorder exclusively from Goodsmile’s online shop starting on March 5th. First Ignis the White, and now this? Japan, your figures are like a facehugger on my wallet… images and further details below the fold:

Some memory jogging reveals that this kit was sculpted by G.O of the elite team at Cerberus Project, and was initially released in August 2006 at the summer iteration of Wonder Festival. Click here for pictures of the initially released kit. As of writing there is no word that the figure is scheduled for release beyond this initial batch via the Goodsmile website, but we live in hope…

Oh but there are a lot of good prepainted recasts of this figure. I saw her in some stores. Considering the price of the LEs, perhaps some would be interested in those recasts.
That’s true. It’s one of my weaknesses as an occasional reporter of figure news that I don’t look beyond the Japanese domestic market for these things. Do you think the quality of the prepainted recasts justifies paying for something not endorsed by the original creator? I’d be hesitant to risk getting a botched paint job if there were other legitimate alternatives available.
Now my question is: If her lower cape is removable in this PVC version to expose her nice butt…I have the resin version of this figure and her lower cape is removable….:)

According to the Goodsmile official page the cape is in fact removable. I don’t envy you the task of painting that resin… ;;
i have one of those prepainted recasts and it’s pretty awesome. the PVC looks good but i’m pretty happy with the recast. i loved it so much that i bought a second one.
if this can be purchased from import hobby shops, i’ll glad buy an official version. ^^
