I've got this book, so i may said, only 3d image appeared in tankoubon. Will he save others for next release? Anyway, Koume is funny artist :)

[...] This project is a collaboration between figurine-maker Kaiyodo and the comics publisher Kodansha (Afternoon). Perhaps this is to tie in with Kio Shimoku’s (木尾士目) latest work “Kujibiki Unbalance”(くじびき♥アンバランス) that’s currently serialised in Gekkan Afternoon. “Kuji-Un” is not illustrated by Kio himself, but by the doujinshi artist Koume Keito (小梅けいと). I’ve shown the cheeky-ero side of Kuji-An’s art direction in an earlier entry. But if you thought Koume’s a naughty boy - you haven’t seen nothing yet. I just learnt from Shingo that Koume’s doujinshi works are really hardcore. (Click the following links only if you think you’re mature enough to handle ero-manga: Pharoanic Harem Orgy, Investor Relations, Train Orgy) [...]

>>R8
Glad to help. :D I'm divided on whether I want to pick it up or not; if the next few months were at all a regular eroge season it would be a no-brainer, but as it is my budget is already in tatters come December. ;__;

>>Tsubaki
NOOOOOOOOoooooo, my Aya-tan fanclub membership revoked already?! ;; She'll always be 18 to me... or something. At least until she's in her 20's, which is how old I thought she was originally. She's not jailbait in any case, so why do I feel so guilty?

>>wildarmsheero
If you don't like shoujo, or appreciate its cliches (as Ial says), your hatred for Ouran is certainly understandable. I didn't like the brother hate episode either, though the ending resolves it quite well - and it's only a single episode thing. Not that that would convince you to continue watching, but...

>>Ial
Seeing as there's no info on it yet I'm not sure what you're being freaked out by, though I think the prospect of a Taimanin Asagi anime might have some potential... erm. Provided you liked the original game, I suppose. :/

Ouran is the same as Uten on a lot of points - to enjoy it you MUST know your shoujo clichés quite well. Personnaly speaking I loved it.

>>Shingo
speaking of Pixy, this one really freak me out :

I dropped Ouran around the point where one of the twins was acting like a total bastard. It seemed like they were trying to construct some weird seriousness around that (mixed in with the already tired humour), which really rubbed me the wrong way. Also, I am an Art Fag, and the artwork in Ouran really wasn't doing much for me, most because I hate all shoujo artwork (and shoujo in general.) The only reason I was watching Ouran was for the LOL, and when it stopped being LOL I wondered why I was wasting time with it.

As far as Fujioka goes, I just didn't like her at all, so pretty much any character is better than her, and the real Haruhi is definitely better. But to me, Mikuru is better than them all...

Sorry for ruing your news post with so much RAGE, I just... really hate Ouran.

>>wildarmsheero
I'm with reslez here, I don't see the angst... are you sure we're watching the same show?

I'll agree that Suzumiya Haruhi has her adorable moments, but Fujioka is adorable all the time. Unless you subscribe to the theory that "bossy" and "adorable" aren't mutually exclusive, which I suppose is possible.

>>reslez
Amen, brother. Or sister. I agree with you about the Lobelia parts, they were probably the worst episodes of the show - one thrown in as a Marimite parody would be fine, but as characters they were incredibly awful.

>>hl
I don't think you'll find many who disagree with you on that score.

>>Ial
I don't think you'll find many who disagree with you on that score, either. :3

I still marvel that Aya-tan is only 18...

>Fujioka Haruhi’s seiyuu is far less adorable than her SOS-dan counterpart.

Marathoned Ouran last weekend. I was really surprised that it hooked me, but I ate it up like handfuls of delicious buttery popcorn. Not sure what wildarmsheero is talking about when he (she?) mentions "contrived shoujo angst", because the show had a near certifiable 100% angst deficiency. The weird thing to me was how well Ouran worked when it didn't have a plot and the characters just sort of ran around like random goofs. When a plot made a random appearance, it indeed felt a bit contrived -- and anything with the Lesbians from Lobelia was pretty damn boring (crazy but true!).

I hear you about the fall season. I'm following one or two shows out of sheer optimism, but at this point it all feels somewhat rote. Happily there are many undiscovered gems like Ouran left for me to find.

Shingo, I'm sorry, but I seriously don't understand how so many people liked Ouran. I thought it was outright terrible. The first couple of episodes managed to make me LOL, but then the jokes were used over and over until they just got boring. When I stopped, the show kind of devolved into contrived shoujo angst, which I'm really not into, so I dropped like a rock.

And yes, that quote is extremely controversial >:O
