ShinjiPG>>
The Kanon remake is a REMAKE. It\'s based on the game (like the Toei animation), but will be longer with (as we\'ve seen) better animation, which leads us to hope that story elements compressed or missing in the Toei version will be gvien more screen time in the KyoAni. Eva has already been remade. That would be the movies.

This new KimiNozu isn\'t a re-make, it\'s another series taking their characters and putting them in a different scenario. Like CLAMP did with Tsubasa Chronicles.

I\'m not complaining about a new series (I\'m a Haruka fanboy), what I was saying was that one of the major elements of KimiNozo was the angst which was a result of the accident - without the accident what kind of story will emerge?

It's not that I actually agree with any of those (Kanon or KGNE)... But why is a Kanon remake better than a KGNE remake? Or a Eva remake? Or a Dragon Ball remake? Or any-anime-at-all remake?
Do we really need to see KyoAni's take on Kanon? Or IS it because it's KyoAni? Would you disaprove a Kanon remake if it was made by another studio?
Gah, this whole matter irritates me.
