Some highlights from issue #74 (July 2006), on sale May 30th. Mikuru-chan banzai! (semi-nekkidness alert)

Note the toothbrush strategically placed next to Mikuru as a handy size comparison. Also note the crappy picture quality! (and the shadow of the camera barrel when the flash was used). As far as I’m concerned this is the best issue they‘ve put out in the past year, if not longer. If only I could fold the space-time continuum in my room to access the vast expanses of virgin wall space that must exist in a fifth dimension somewhere, ripe for the poster hanging…
[edit] I was sick over the weekend, resulting in zero productivity (aside from copious amounts of phlegm, some of which lingers in various uncomfortable places even now). Genshiken reviews and whatnot will be coming shortly.
sweeet. gotta get me this volume. Love the cover and the witchblade poster is DAMN.
Damnit, now I’m going to be saying “Beam Attack!” all day.
I’ll always be amazed at how little hair it takes to cover all of a nipple.
Wow those come with just one mag?? The Simoun one is omega sexy. The witchblade one is too milky.
So what series is represented in that first poster (with a girl in red and a girl in white)? Also, what’s on the cover? I feel incompetent in my geekiness, because neither of those images are familiar to me in the least.
>>DMC
You shouldn’t feel to bad about the first one, it’s from Demonbane, which isn’t actually a series (yet). The cover is School Rumble.
気を付けてください。
Spring colds suck – I had one for a month that’s just gone. Filthy students and their diseases.
I only buy Megami for the reading practice, honestly.
son of a… you’re killing me here two months straight on Megami mags Shingo!
>>shoujo
Thanks, I’ll take care. And spray my students with disinfectant before each class. >:(
I buy Megami for the… err. Huge tracts of kanji?
>>moyism
Ku ku ku. Next month is slated to be a Haruhi FEATURE, no less.
I cancelled my subscription to megami last month. I am now regretting that decision immensely.
Dammit, now I needa find my wallet.
The Demonbane and Mikuru scan is faptacular.
Damn the slowness of actually getting a copy in the US.
A random thought, perhaps to answer the slow delivery issue: does anyone remember the tragic abortion that was Service Service Magazine? Four years later I doubt the Stateside market has developed enough to support domestic distribution of what basically amounts to a “toon cheesecake” magazine.
looks like this issue has a lot of good images. hope you feel better Shingo
>>Mantra
I can certainly understany why you cancelled when you did; the past year has been pretty uneven. So much goodness from this season is making its way to the poster section though… almost unprecidented in the magazine’s history, I’d wager.
>>LiK
Thanks, I’m doing ok now it seems.
