Scoops of Wonder Festival offerings from Kotobukiya, Kaiyodo, and Yamato, bracketed by some general figure news and recent sales and new item announcements courtesy of HobbyNet. A good bit of redundancy sprinkled throughout so nothing falls through the cracks, but keep an eye out for the Sei, Win-chan, Kagerou, Rakka, Yamaneko, and race queen Tessa PVCs among many others. Might want to leave your wallet at the door…
- Kotobukiya’s Yamashita Shunya-designed, Mitsumasa Yoshizawa-sculpted Sela-chan PVC kit is once again available for preorder from the official Kotobukiya store. It’ll be shipping in April, which means the window of opportunity for orders probably won’t last through March. good luck to anyone trying to hunt her down.
- Word from Akiba Blog is that these three figures (a Meg from Bakuretsu Tenshi and two Rakkas from Haibane Renmei) were shuttled straight from Wonder Festival to be put on display in Akihabara after the event. The fact that they’re in a Yamato Story Image Figure display case is significant – apparently two of the three will go on sale later this year. Yes, this means a PVC Rakka (the one further from the camera in the above shot) coming down the pipe (not to mention the rather sexy Cerberus Project-sculpted Meg); I know the former bit of news will make some people very, very happy. [Akibajin scoops Meg] – more information available in the Wonder Festival Yamato section below.
- Goodsmile’s Magical Girl Rin PVC from Fate / hollow ataraxia is HUGE. H U G E. Also, coming in late March.
- This is mentioned below courtesy of HobbyNet, but Yamato’s Yamaneko PVC was on display in Akiba over the weekend, and is set for a late June release. If I’ve ever seen a removable shirt that is certainly it (corroborated by the [ERO] original resin kit). This is one I’m definitely looking forward to. :3

Konami, Toys Planning, Toranoana, Griffon, Art Road, Atelier-Sai, Gigapulse, Chara-ani, Solid Theater, and a few other miscellaneous items remain… hopefully one more update should take care of the lot. Again – if you have questions about a particular item pictured (or not pictured) feel free to ask, but until these things are listed by online retailers (or in hobby magazines) I’m afraid there won’t be much more information forthcoming. With so many awesome kits coming out in the next few months a bit more ignorance would probably be a good thing, wallet-wise. -_-;;
wow, the yamato morrigan and lilith sculpts are gorgeous. here’s hoping for some PVC versions
@ lik, yeah, those yamato morrigan and lilith ones are nice, i’m sure yamato usa will release them. also digging those bebop figs there. the akeginu had me excited unitl i clicked and saw it…meh.
as for Asunaro Sei, preordered that baby last week!
>> Bome Collection Tessa & Chidori PVCs from Full Metal Panic
So tempting. Chidori and Tessa in their classic version. XD
Err, Shingo, I’m pretty sure that’s a Hakufu figure, not Ryofu.
Can anyone give me some information on this figure? http://www.akibablog.net/archives/img/2006-02-20-1003.html
It’s hard to find anything when I don’t know the character or even the company doing it. I would appreciate it. Thanks!
>> LiK and R8
Given that Yamato is producing REFLECT‘s Ryomou in PVC already it does seem promising that his Morrigan and Lilith will follow, I agree. Certainly welcome additions to the PVC lineup. :3
>> Anonymous
Yeah, I’d say they’re far more tempting than the Eclair and Lumiere put out a couple of months ago in a similar configuration. The proof will be in the final paint job, though… looks a bit sketchy from the prototype.
>> Agent Wax
Oops – duly noted, thanks. I must be slipping. -_-;;
>> softfeather
That is an unassembled, unpainted resin kit of Yamamoto Isoroku from Alice Soft’s Kichiku-Oh Rance, produced by Volks. As expensive as it is ostentatious… I have no idea where one would display the thing, or even hide it, but that doesn’t prevent a few speculative glances at the wallet… ;_;
i agree, that yamamoto isoroku figure is gorgeous too, i hope a PVC version is made, *prays*
the kit is uber expensive! @_@
