In today’s update: an extention to the Stratos Four OVA is announced, Fulltime’s Eroi gets a system update, Kimura Takehiro-designed eroge Ano Machi no Koi no Shi has new sample CG online, several new figure release announcements (including an omega-kawaii Petoko-chan resin kit from Kotobukiya), and a release date for Yamashita Shunya’s Sela-chan PVC.

Media Side

  • I haven’t been keeping close tabs on Stratos Four, but over the past couple of years several episodes of its “Advance” OVA series have been released, with the 6th one slated to come out on January 27th. The latest word is that an additional two episodes beyond this are now in planning with the intent to finish off the story. Moon Phase apparently thinks that won’t be enough…

Hobby Side

  • Figure Alternative updates its release schedule with six May titles as well as several in earlier months, an invaluable resource for those in the figure market (and a good place to cross-reference HLJ’s list, if nothing else).
  • Coming in late February from Kotobukiya are a pair of resin kits: this entirely underwhelming Manaka from To Heart 2, and the much cuter Petoko from Petopeto-san.
  • A Super Express Train Girl Fantastic 360S PVC complete with exchangeable parts will be released from Yuuyu in mid-February. I have no idea what this is from, but it might merit a bit of investigation.
  • In a blast from the past Epoch / C-Works announces the March release of this set of Ranma 1/2 trading figures. The one on the lower right seems to be complete with hiragana water splashing sound effects built in…
  • Aizu announces the June release of a pair of Ikkitousen cold casts: plainclothes versions of Ryofu and Hakufu. Terrible image quality, but the Ryofu looks mildly interesting.
  • The Kotobukiya store in Akihabara posts a tentative February 2nd release date for the Yamashita Shunya-designed Sela-chan PVC, available only via Kotobukiya brick and mortar outlets and their online shop. Guess I can’t delay the preorder any longer… ;;
  • On sale today: Vice’s Murata Range PSE Solid Line Series #3 PVC, complete with Akibajin review. Also on sale today, this Shiori and Saori swimsuit ver. PVC set from Hajimete no Orusuban. [Akibajin scoop]
