Media Side

  • “SF action adventure anime” fans take note: Ergo Proxy will air on WOWOW starting in February, 2006. Goths, take note too. Being decidedly more the former than the latter I have to say this is looking pretty awesome.
  • Episode five of Radio To Heart 2 is online, featuring the further adventures of a rather questionable plate of curry.
  • Cave’s official Espgaluda II site updates today with two new characters and an images section. There are some demo movies from last month online as well.

Hobby Side

  • Pixel Maritan has a special diary update for today, the 230th anniversary of the founding of the US Marines. Also I somehow managed to miss last week’s webcomic post, which does in fact introduce the new character referred to in the current top image. Her name is Mike (Japanese pronunciation, not the boxer) -taisa, with “taisa” meaning either colonel or (navy) captain. She seems to be in for some questioning before they let her join the rest of the cast…
  • On Sale Today: Yujin’s SR Tsubasa Chronicle trading figures.
  • It appears the first wave of Genshiken gashapon may be on sale today as well – Earl Box, at least, has acquired the one item in the set I would shed copious amounts of blood to acquire. And it’s not even exceptionally well-made. :(
  • Moeyo! Akibajin Blog posts an exhaustive review of the Misaki figure that came with the limited edition of Welcome to the NHK!’s volume 4. It seems to be still in stock at Amazon, but I wouldn’t count on it being there forever.

Having been paid yesterday I am debating whether to make the trek in to Akihabara today after work, or hold off until Saturday or Sunday. I tend to err on the side of instant gratification in these things… ;_;
