Anime Side

  • News today from My-Otome and School Rumble that web radio is in the works for both. Otanoshimi ni~
  • If you can’t wait for them to start up, there’s always D. N. Angel / Candidate for Goddess radio to keep your ears humming in the meantime.
  • It seems that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is becoming an anime. Can Touhou be that far behind?
  • The Petopeto-san soundtrack release schedule can be found here. This still ranks as the best OP / ED combo of the season for me, I should hunt up the single somewhere.
  • If you’re an otaku-oriented store apparently you need your own webcomic to keep up with the Joneses these days, and Melon Books is no exception.

Ero Side

  • This week’s Galkko feature is TinkerBell’s Inyoumushi, a veritable feast for the tentacle fans.
  • Along those same lines, Triangle has announced the release of a “complete disc” containing all of its Mahou Senshi Sweet Knights games.
  • Game Style scoops Eushully’s upcoming Meishoku no Reiki, for fans of epic fantasy conquest SLGs.
  • Akiba-k has a special section up for Studio Ryokucha’s October 28th release of Princess Serenade.
  • This Friday (September 2nd) will see the release of six new eroge titles, handily summarized by Galge.com as usual. I’m mostly caught up on figure news, and anime info can always be purloined from moonphase, but I really do need to catch up on a lot of missed eroge scoops here.
  • Among the many games released last Friday that I failed to scoop is Joidorei Byoutou from Kurohime Soft, which is now available in both downloadable and package versions.
  • The release dates of Crossnet’s Ayakashi and Coremoreco’s Terrible Future have both been pushed back to October 28th.
  • In an unprecidented move, Mixed-up Soft has actually moved the release of Kakuu Shoujo forward a day to September 29th. This will give it a Thursday release, preempting the regular weekly batch of Friday launches. Are we seeing the eroge beginning of the same sort of “weekend sprawl” that has Hollywood blockbusters coming out on Wednesdays?
  • The second issue of Toranoana / Fox Publishing’s Moyori is currently shipping; the prime retail space it’s sure to occupy in nationwide Toras has probably been enough to give it a foothold among the thicket of rival publications.

Game Side

  • The Yogurting closed beta test starts today! Have you downloaded your client yet?
  • If you were wondering about the Megahouse Koyori PVC mentioned at the bottom of yesterday’s figure post, wonder no more. Sengoku Cannon is a side scrolling shooter that came out last month for the PSP with phenominal Tsukasa Jun character designs to boot. Must pick this one up.
  • Speaking of PSP games, check out the trailer for the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex game coming out on September 15th. You can customize the tachikomas… sweet.

I did a little homework on some of the more cryptic items in yesterday’s figure post which I may post as an addendum later today. I’m afraid a few Novemberish releases may have passed under the radar this past month, which I’ll be keeping an eye out for, but otherwise I think I’m pretty solid on the figure front. Now to round up the new anime, eroge, and goods news, along with all of the miscellaneous reviews still kicking around in my brain. A couple of Genshiken and NHK chapters to get caught up on as well. Isogashii Isogashii.

We’re still hyping C69 over at the forums, although the conversation seems to have inexplicably taken a turn for the futanari. If there’s something you want to see come out of fuyukomi (or any pending doujin/figure event), why not post?
